Communiqué  Posté le 06-10-2020 10:20, modifié le 06-10-2020 10:20 par Tournons la Page

In the morning of Tuesday 29 September 2020, another day of FNDC mobilisation against the third mandate of Alpha CONDÉ, Oumar SYLLA, alias Foniké Menguè, Deputy Coordinator of Tournons La Page Guinée and responsible for the mobilisation and actions of the FNDC was raped and kidnapped by the Guinean police in the commune of Matoto.

At last news, this human rights activist has been charged with unlawful assembly and placed under a committal order in Conakry's civil prison.

Tournons La Page condemns in the strongest possible terms this excessive attitude of the Guinean government and demands the immediate release of Oumar Sylla and an end to the judicial harassment against him.

The Tournons La Page Movement expresses its deep concern for the future of the right to demonstrate and freedom of opinion in Guinea.
